Road Trip: Robert's Maine Grill, Kittery, Maine

With the promise of warmer weather arriving soon, it’s time to start road tripping again and this adventure takes us to the great state of Maine and Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery. While some people only associate seafood with the beach and summer time, Robert's is good year round. Located on Route 1 between several outlet malls, this is the perfect place to go after a shopping trip during the Christmas season or during the summer after a visit to nearby York Beach (a personal favorite of ours).

While you might not expect much in the way of food from a restaurant located smack dab in the middle of outlet shopping, I can tell you that the food is very good. There’s even a little treasure which you cannot see from the road. During the spring, summer, and fall, there is a deck on the second floor which offers a beautiful view of the river. Who would expect that along with all the traffic on Route 1? We hope to see you on the road in Maine.

You can see the front below:

Crackers along with their delicious cheese spread:

And some of their wonderful seafood chowder:

Nothing like a nice piece of fried fish:

And comfort foods such as Seafood Pot Pie:

Here are a few estimated times from select cities:

Manchester, NH about 57 minutes or 45 miles.

White River Junction, VT about 2 hours and 13 minutes or 118 miles.

Revere, MA about 1 hour or 54 miles.
