The Beach Plum has all the foods of summer

In your travels, you have probably seen the advertisements on billboards for The Beach Plum which brings NH Reviews to our next restaurant. With locations in North Hampton, Portsmouth and their newest in Epping we dropped by for a visit.

In addition to fried seafood baskets and dinners, they have chicken tenders, foot long hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, rolls, wraps, lobster rolls, salads, chowders, bisque and ice cream. Basically everything you could think of after a nice warm day at the beach. Since I haven't eaten fried scallops in a long time their basket was my pick.

They were slightly moist and that added to my enjoyment of these. I was slightly disappointed that there were only 6 in the basket and for $17 bucks this seemed a bit high for the meal. The Beach Plum does offer dinner options that have twice as much meat you just have to fork over some additional coin. If you are really hunger go for the dinner and spend the extra money. This was served with cole slaw that was passable.

My wife chose the shrimp basket.

These were cooked well and the batter was nice and light so she enjoyed them.

For dessert there is ice cream, arctic swirls, sherbet, sundaes and soft-serve. We went with one their premium flavors, German Chocolate Cake. Although not homemade which is our preference their frozen treats should satisfy your sweet tooth.

Please note the restaurants only offer counter service and the seating is at picnic tables (inside and outside) so this is a very casual atmosphere.

Whether you are nearby on the seacoast or passing by their Epping restaurant off of Route 101 The Beach Plum has all the foods of summer.
