Sweets, Bacon and Pumpkin People, Polly's Pancake Parlor, Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

For our next excursion, we are sending you on a joy ride to the small town of Sugar Hill for unbelievable bacon and pancakes at Polly's Pancake Parlor. You see, even if you are like me and only eat pancakes a few times per year this place is a must for the casual pancake eater or for loyal fans.

Polly's is kind of an enigma. They have been doing everything the same for years and it works, nothing changes but their great breakfast remains the same. Because they maximize their small space, you can look forward to European style seating, i,e., sitting with complete strangers! Please, no complaints, just grin and bear it and make some new friends. Not only do the waitresses wait on tables, they also cook the pancakes, talk about dedication.

According to their facebook page they are open weekends until November 25th so there is still plenty of time.

You can see the sign and parking area below:

And the front of Polly's:

Ahhhhhhhh, blueberry, walnut and coconut pancakes with bacon, amazing!

Their applewood smoked bacon is the best and I always get a second order.

Want something to do after breakfast. Here are a couple of suggestions:

Mark you calendar for Columbus day weekend next year and head to the Jackson/North Conway area to see the Pumpkin People. Area businesses compete to see who has the best display made out of pumpkins.

The White Mountain National Forest is just down the road for those outdoor enthusiasts.

Some estimated times from a few cities:
