The best of everything breakfast in NH

NH Reviews spends a lot of time enjoying breakfast out on the weekends. Our experience is extensive and we would like to share our favorites with you.

  • Best Overall. Janie’s Uncommon Cafe, Londonderry. The owners of this restaurant are all about the details which is the reason they land the top spot. They get all the basics right, the food is always hot and delicious as well as pleasant service. This might seem like a little thing but the floor is constantly being vacuumed and we appreciate that level of detail.

  • Best Bagels. The Bagel Cafe, Bedford, and Manchester. With two locations, the owners have fresh bagels made daily down to a science. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing made with real grilled not microwaved eggs.

  • Most Unique. The Tuscan Market, Salem.  If you love breakfast but are looking for something other than the same old boring eggs and bacon, then go to the Tuscan Market. Their menu includes breakfast pizza and my personal favorite, Umbria Biali (Italian bagel)

  • Best Pancakes. Polly’s Pancake Parlor, Sugar Hill. The name says it all. This very well known establishment has been serving their famous small pancakes made by the waitstaff for decades. When you go throw in a couple of orders of their thick cut bacon, unbelievable!

  • Best Crepes. Chev Vachon, Manchester. For this one, visit the west side of the Queen City. In addition to crepes, they have just about everything you could want such as poutine, potato pancakes, pistachio cakes, and croissants.

  • Friendliest. Tucker’s in Concord, New London, Hooksett, and Dover. They have the nicest waitstaff always greeting us with a smile. You get the feeling that their team is happy and this translates to a pleasant customer experience. The food focuses on healthy ingredients and they do this well.

  • Most Interactive Experience. Parker’s Maple Barn, Mason. After breakfast, visit their sugar shack and find out how maple syrup is made. Then stop at the gift shop and don’t forget to try a maple frosted donut.

  • Best Quality, Maddie’s, Salem. This restaurant is busy for a reason, quality stands supreme and whatever your choice it is still just as good each and every time. NH Reviews recommends the tea bread and home fries.

  • Best Farm to Table. Roots Cafe, Hooksett. The owners are committed to using the freshest ingredients from local farms which translates to a delicious meal.

  • Best Diner. DW Diner, Merrimack. NH Reviews is a regular at this stop on the Daniel Webster Highway.  Their hash browns have a perfectly browned crunchy outer layer.
