The D.W. Diner In Merrimack Has Been Sold

The popular breakfast spot had been owned for many years by Peter Yeanacopolis. We remember when the former truck driver bought the diner and turned a beat up spot into a much larger and brighter space. He expanded the dining room and added a waiting area all to the benefit of his customers.  Now, it is Tom Katsikis who will determine the future direction.

Tom had previously worked at Stelio’s Family Restaurant in Billerica and was looking for a change. Working crazy hours from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm was getting old and tiring. He searched for an opportunity that would allow him to spend more time with family and D.W. Diner fit the bill with its shorter 6:00 am to 2:00 pm hours of operation.

In terms of the restaurant, he is planning a few minor tweaks. Refreshing the interior with updated carpeting is on the docket. Mr. Katsikis would also like to add more comfort foods to give the menu an authentic diner feel. For example, homemade soups are a focus for him.

One of the most endearing qualities is the staff many of whom have been at the diner since the early days. NH Reviews always looks forward to seeing the same familiar faces on each visit.

Tom is 100 percent committed to this new venture and we wish him well.
