GC Pizza Hut, Owners, Christos and Denise Scumniotales are planning a new pizza restaurant at 303 Main Street. The dining establishment would be a carry-out and delivery only.
They are proposing site improvements to include new pavement, landscaping, and a renovation of the building. Seven existing parking spaces would be used for employees and customers. Hours are Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to Midnight.
The existing drive-thru would be used but in a different way from a standard fast-food establishment with lower traffic volume
expected. To avoid a back up of automobiles onto the street, food is not ordered onsite. Their plan is to have customers order and then pick-up at a specified time.
To move forward with the project in a limited space, the owners need special approval from the city. The requirements for distance would need to be reduced for the backup of cars and at the egress.
