Start your day off right at Sunny's

On our way over to the coast on Route 4, we were looking for a new place for breakfast and happened upon Sunny's in Lee. Sunny's is located a mile and a half from the Lee traffic circle along Route 125.

Upon arrival Sunny's looked to be very busy so we quickly headed in to put our names in for what turned out to be a short wait. The initial impression was that the rug needed to be updated.

The menu is filled with plenty of choices such as omelettes, scramblers, benedicts, French toast, pancakes and waffles. My selection was the classic benedict with ham along with their hash browns.

The hollandaise had a beautiful lemon salty flavor that combined nicely with the poached egg and ham.

My better half got a florentine omelette with fresh spinach, bacon, feta, swiss and american cheese along with the same hash browns and cinnamon swirl toast.

Overall she really liked the toast and wished that the hash browns had been cooked a little more to give them a crunchier texture as requested.

You should be happy with the service here as we were. Our waitress was pleasant throughout. If you hear a doorbell sound during your meal that is a signal from the kitchen that food needs to be run out to a customer. An interesting method that seems to work here.

Sunny's is a good option for breakfast and one you may want to consider adding to your rotation. There was a steady stream of customers that suggested a decent local following and the locals are almost never wrong.
