Roots offers unique alternative at Robie's Country Store

Feeling a bit bored with the same old breakfast restaurants, we decided to try something different and ventured out to Roots Cafe.

Located inside Robie's Country Store in Hooksett, owners Joshua and Amber Enright have created a cute and cozy atmosphere. On the Saturday morning of our visit, we found a popular and busy establishment with a friendly staff throughout. They offer half service where you are provided a menu upon your arrival and then you go to the counter to place the order.

The devil here is in the details that make the ordinary extraordinary. Take my classic eggs Benedict that was served with al dente potatoes. Everything was combined just right and the home fries weren't mushy, an added bonus.

My wife ordered the veggie Benedict but wanted to substitute one of the vegetables. There must have been a bit of confusion so the owner, Amber, smartly came out a little while later to confirm her order. This is something more restaurants should do, if there is any doubt, please double check.

Needless to say with fresh not frozen vegetables this is recommended.

Roots Cafe is open 7 am to 3 pm and closed on Monday. In addition to breakfast, they offer lunch, catering and a variety of baked goods including brownies, cookies, muffins and scones.
