Expansion makes everything better at Cucina Toscana in Nashua

We have visited Cucina Toscana many times and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the previously tiny restaurant added a new dining space in the back. The food is consistently delicious and now with the new expansion it is even better.

We arrived on a weekend to their location on Amherst Street in Nashua – it’s in a strip mall and you have to be very careful to watch for the sign or you can easily miss the turn. It was early for dinner so there was no problem finding a table. They have a small dining room in the front which can get very noisy when it’s full of diners and their new intimate space in the back. It is just off from the bar area and has a warm cozy feel. If you do go make sure you ask to be seated in this quiet area.

To start, we decided on one of their appetizer specials, the Lobster Ravioli.

Ravioli filled with tender lobster in a light creamy tomato sauce, delicious.

Their Italian dishes are all cooked to order and we have never been disappointed. My wife chose their Shrimp Al Forno:

Large shrimp, crabmeat stuffing and bacon along with mushrooms in a light wine sauce, exquisite. This was well made although she did comment that it was saltier than she expected.

My choice was the Chicken Saltimbocca:

Rolled then breaded and fried this is stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella cheese in a white sherry wine sauce. It was served with a side of pasta that seemed small in hindsight.

Our server was pleasant and professional.

So there you have it, the service, food and expanded dining make Cucina Toscana a restaurant you should add to your dining rotation.
