Wine Ice Cream in New Hampshire: This is not a joke

Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly love ice cream any more than we already do, along comes one of the century’s greatest creations – wine ice cream.

Having received a tip about this novel item, I headed to the Korner Kupboard (394 N. State Street, Concord, NH, phone 603-224-3431) to purchase this frozen concoction made by Mercer’s based in Boonville, NY. There I found the pints in a variety of flavors including Riesling, Peach White Zinfandel, Port, Cherry Merlot, Chocolate Cabernet, and Red Raspberry Chardonnay. I quickly grabbed a Riesling and a Peach White Zin and raced home to conduct a taste test.

My wife didn’t believe me when I presented her with these gifts but soon was as pleased as I was to learn of the culinary delight!

We were both very happy with the taste as well as the creamy texture. NOTE: this ice cream is for adults only. Each pint contains 5% alcohol.

For those of you that aren’t fortunate to live near a store that carries Mercer’s wine ice cream, don’t despair! You can download an order form on their website and they will deliver it to your home. Cheers!

{Editors note:  The Korner Kupboard listed above is no longer in business.  The good news is that you can still find other stores in New Hampshire and the United States that carry Mercer's wine ice cream.  Please go to their website and click on near me to locate the closest store.}
