Take flight to the Midfield Cafe in Nashua

The Midfield Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place located at the Airport in Nashua, New Hampshire. In addition to decent food, one of the more interesting things about the restaurant is trying to find it once you reach the Airport. If you don't live in the area you may want to warm up your GPS for this one as it is no easy task to find. Once there, the fun really begins.

When you see the parking lot drive to the left and park as close as you can to the yellow building shown below. Once parked you will look around and think to yourself, where the heck is the restaurant? You will see a fenced area with a path that looks like it leads directly to the run way and above a sign "Watch for Falling Ice"

Once you get to this path go straight down until you can't go any further and turn left.

Look to your left and you will see the building where the Midfield Cafe is housed on the second floor.

There are stairs that can be used in nicer weather but this time of year they are closed, so after turning left go straight past the stairs along the side of the building until you come to a door on the left. Go through the door past the counter for the airport straight and open a second door. To the right go up the stairs to where the Midfield Cafe is located. Congratulations, you made it!

Upon entering the restaurant the decor-no surprise-is an airport theme with picture of planes everywhere.

Their menu has all the usual New England Breakfast favorites. My choice was their breakfast wrap filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, veggies and salsa.

Nicely grilled with a light flavor from the sausage and crunchy well done home fries.

My wife chose their vegetable omelet which she enjoyed but realized mid-way through that the broccoli was missing.

Overall I really like the Midfield Cafe not only for its quirky location but the good food and service. As we were leaving a gentleman walked passed me with a confused look in his eyes and asked “is this the place with the restaurant?" After I explained the maze that he had to follow, away he went taking flight to the Midfield Cafe.
