Long forgotten Cactus Jacks

This week brings Reviews to Cactus Jacks in Manchester and another dining establishment from Great NH Restaurants who also own T-Bones Great American Eateries. Long forgotten by us, and possibly by many of our readers, we dropped in for a bite.

With more of a Tex-Mex flair, they try their best to develop dishes that are appealing to local customers. On the day of our visit, we found a loud and busy restaurant. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer weather.

Cactus Jacks offers complimentary corn bread to start that was light and airy. I also ordered chips and salsa to ensure a carb overload!

Given that NH Reviews hadn't been there in a long time, we checked in with our waitress on what to select. She seemed knowledgeable and thought that the fajitas would be a smart pick so my choice was the beef.

The meat was easy to the bite and complimented well when wrapped in a flour tortilla with cheese, sour cream, rice, pico de gallo and lettuce.

My wife went with the chicken espinaca.

Fried chicken slathered in espinaca cheese sauce on this one. Although she liked the flavor the dish was a bit salty. The kitchen should consider cutting back on the sodium.

Cactus Jacks is open 7 days a week from 11:30 am to 12:30 am. They also have a second location in Laconia.
