Pizza Allegria To Start Business Operations Soon In Salem

Nearly complete with their renovation of the space that had been Orange Leaf, Pizza Allegria is hoping to begin business operations soon on Main Street in Salem.

They are different than the average pizza place in the area, according to the owner, Haytham Kandil, who spent 33 years in the hospitality industry before opening his own business. Their artisan pizza will be made using double zero flour creating a soft dough. They have brought in a special Italian stone oven that uses gas and wood fire to cook in minutes providing their customers with a quick lunch.

Haytham wants this to be a go-to for families. He is planning a kids class on Sundays where they can make their own pizza and become a chef for the day. Allegria will also have children’s pizza, mac and cheese, and spaghetti and meatballs.

The menu is farm to table focusing on fresh ingredients offering create your own pizza and several different varieties that are predetermined. Salads, hot/cold subs, and fried seafood are also available. Hours are Monday to Friday 10 am to 11:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to midnight and Sunday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Mr. Kandil is optimistically hoping to start service sometime in early April. Best wishes on your new venture.
