The best Irish Pubs in NH For St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is less than two weeks away and you may be wondering where to celebrate. This is one of our favorite holidays, having visited Ireland twice, NH Reviews loves the feel of Irish Pubs because it reminds us of being back in the Emerald Isle.

The 17th is on a Saturday this year allowing most the opportunity to have fun all day. Then the question is where should you go to find the music, food, environment, libations, and friendly staff that everyone hopes for? We have been to our fair share and hand-picked some of the best.
  1. Kathleen’s Irish Pub, Bristol. If you are looking to go old school just like in Ireland this is a great place to start. They open at 6:00 am for breakfast with music and dancers starting at noon.
  2. The Peddler’s Daughter, Nashua. Beer and eggs starting at 8:00 am. Bill McElaney from 9:00 am to noon, then Pop Farmers 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Radioactive at 7:00 pm.
  3. Rí Rá, Portsmouth. Irish breakfast starting at 8:00 am and then 6 Nations Rugby games at 8:30 am, 10.45 am and 1:00 pm. Live music starting at noon. Special menu available all day.
  4. The Holy Grail, Epping. We recommend the bar area here where the staff is professional and attentive. Offering brunch from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and the regular menu all day along with a few specials. Thinking live music starting at 8:00 pm but not confirmed at the time of our call.
  5. Halligan Tavern, Derry. Pipes and drums at 2:00 pm for about a 1/2 hour. Limited menu including Irish breakfast starting at 8:00 am or 9:00 am with favorites such as corned beef and cabbage. They were still working on the details but are planning to have Irish step dancers as well.
  6. Wild Rover, Manchester. They open at 5:00 am serving Irish breakfast and have their regular menu available all day.
  7. Shaskeen, Manchester. A nice long bar at this pub downtown on Elm Street. Breakfast and Guinness available at 6:00 am. Band starting at 11:30 am or noon. They will be serving a limited menu.
  8. May Kelly’s Cottage, North Conway. We have only been here once and this is a unique restaurant, to say the least.
