Gabi’s In Londonderry Moving With Gulf Coast Kitchen On The Way

Owner Anthony Martino has some big plans for his Gabi’s Smoke Shack that began way back in 2011 with a food trailer run out of his home. The business then moved to a small space at 217 Rockingham Road where it has been since but this had to change.

Mr. Martino heard from his customers and they wanted more. The problem was that there was no seating inside the current dining establishment for groups or those who just wanted to sit down and relax. With that in mind, Anthony has been searching for a new space to make that happen. And then he found out that Harold Square at 226 Rockingham Road was out of business. Across the street from his current location, this seemed like an ideal spot for his vision of the new Gabi’s Smoke Shack and the papers were signed.

Their simple menu will remain mostly the same with pulled pork, brisket, and chicken sandwiches/tacos with ribs available on weekends. They may add some appetizers and desserts as well. Beer and wine will also be available. This is order at the counter with seating estimated at 12 patrons.

Anthony is hoping to open by December 7th at 226 Rockingham Road. Hours are expected to be 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Tuesday to Sunday.  Until then, the location at 217 Rockingham Road is still serving customers.

What is to become of the old space? Be on the lookout next spring for Gabi’s Gulf Coast Kitchen where Mr. Martino is thinking po-boys including fried shrimp, oysters, and catfish. Maybe gumbo and a southern cafeteria style meat and two or three option. This would be takeout with no dinner hours. Stay tuned on this one.
