They are planning to open in the space that was formerly occupied by Off Main Pizza at 26 Pleasant Street which is next to Noodles & Pearls.
NH Reviews took a look inside and there were a few indications that this is going to happen. Two large sushi signs can be seen inside along with one for brown rice.
The menu is expected to include poke, rice bowls, and salads. Poke is a Hawaiian dish of raw diced fish that has become very popular in some parts of the country. The only other place that we are aware of that specializes in this type of cuisine is the Ohana Kitchen in Portsmouth and Exeter. Nothing close to Concord so if our information is correct Splendid Sushi will be the only dining establishment nearby serving the dish.
There was no word on an opening date. The business has put in a request with the city for the approval of a new sign on the front of the building.
Perhaps a new concept like this will finally bring success to a location that has proven difficult for dining establishments in the past. Good luck to Splendid Sushi and their new venture.
