Ever since German John’s closed in Hillsborough several years ago, the town has been missing a decent bakery. That is all about to end as a couple of longtime friends are planning to open Two Girls Bakery & Gift Shop.
Building a dream from their love of baking, they are setting up shop at 206 Henniker Road. The location is past Agway on the way to the High Tide restaurant.
Be prepared to indulge with a store full of homemade baked everything including breads, muffins, cupcakes, cookies and more as they work to develop their menu.
For any shopaholics in the audience, they are adding a gift shop. Here, you will find crafts from artisans throughout New England.
As for a target opening date, the owners were hoping to start by the end of September but we are thinking it will be a bit longer. They are near the end of the process and finishing up last-minute details.
Residents and visitors alike have visions of munching on a baked good while getting their Christmas shopping done. Next time you are in the area, be sure and stop by to check out their new digs.
